About New Horizon

Who We Are.

A Church Loving on God, Loving on People, and Changing Communities.

New Horizon Church International is a Loving Church, Loving on God, Loving on People, and Changing Communities. Our emphasis is on being compassionate, worshipping God and making disciples. NHCI is a charismatic Church, and a Supernatural Church where the power of God is emphasized. We encourage you to let God work in and through you to accomplish world-class results.

NHCI is a member of a denomination called the Fellowship of International Churches (FOIC). The FOIC is made up of formerly independent churches who have joined together to fellowship, support each other, and accomplish a greater work of Christ. The FOIC emphasizes consecrated living, a strong commitment to the Bible as the Word of God, supernatural operations, and missions outreach to the world.

Care. Commit. Connect.

We are a Cell Church, which means we promote discipleship through small groups named Care Cells. Each small group consists of a limited number of family units and is overseen by a deacon or a trained leader who is a member of the church’s laity.

We want to help you become a fully mature disciple of Jesus Christ.

The way you do that here is simple: You: Care. Commit. Connect.

Bishop Henry T. Joseph III

The son of a Baptist minister, Bishop Henry T. Joseph III was saved as a young boy. Raised in a
Los Angeles neighborhood marked by gangs, drugs, and crime, he experienced God’s preserving
grace and was called to obedience in Christ in 1992. His theological foundation was shaped by
Wesley Bible Seminary, Ekklesia School of Ministry and Theology, and the mentorship of Dr.
John Parrish and Bishop Ronnie Crudup—formative voices in his spiritual development.

A gifted Bible teacher, Bishop Joseph has ministered at conferences, retreats, and seminars
across the globe. His early service included work with Promise Keepers Men’s Ministry, inner-
city rescue missions, and numerous board appointments throughout the United States. In 1998,
he and his wife Deborah founded *Proclaim*, a Christian publication based in Mississippi,
amplifying faith-based voices and stories.

In 1999, Bishop Joseph embarked on his first mission trip to Africa. After several visits, he
received a divine call in October 2003 to full-time ministry in Malawi, Africa, where he served as
Senior Pastor of Capital City Baptist Church (CCBC) in Lilongwe. Under his leadership,
CCBC—one of the world’s most diverse congregations with members from over 40
nations—grew from 200 to over 1,000 members. By the time he returned to the U.S. to care for
his ailing mother, the church was hosting five worship services in three languages.

His ministry in Malawi extended beyond the pulpit. Bishop Joseph provided servant leadership
in integrating business ventures with social outreach. He directed ADZIWA, a self-sustaining
orphan ministry serving over 600 children, established Malawi’s first contemporary youth
center, and helped launch a refugee empowerment initiative in the Dzaleka Refugee Camp.
During the presidential campaign of Malawi’s former President, Dr. Lazarus Chakwera, Bishop
Joseph served as the U.S. liaison.

In 2007, alongside his spiritual son Pastor Rashid Masih, Bishop Joseph co-founded LOGOS
Ministries of Pakistan (LMP), which continues to plant churches, develop leaders, and distribute
Bibles across Pakistan, Nepal, and Dubai. He also founded Grace Church International in
Oudtshoorn, South Africa—now thriving more than a decade later.
Most recently, Bishop Joseph was nominated to attend the prestigious Lausanne Congress for
World Evangelism in Seoul, South Korea—an invitation-only gathering of influential Christian
leaders from every nation. He previously served as a delegate at the 2010 Lausanne Congress in
Cape Town, South Africa. Called by God through Bishop Wellington Boone, Chief Prelate of the Fellowship of International Churches to the office of Bishop, Bishop Joseph now serves as Senior Pastor-elect of New Horizon Church International.

He and his wife Deborah have been married for 40 years and are blessed with four children and
three grandchildren.
